The crew at Latch and Post Gate Repair Tampa isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. We’re a fixed group of Tampa-based technicians who’ve been working gates in this city long enough to know which neighborhoods fight salt air, which alleys flood in August, and which gate operators give up first when the humidity sits at ninety percent for a week straight. We show up in uniform, with a written price before the first tool comes out, and we treat your driveway like it’s our own. Every gate comes down to two parts, the latch that holds it and the post that carries it. That’s the job we focus on.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cody Beckman, Owner
Cody started with Latch and Post in 2009, back when the Tampa operation was a single truck and a phone that rang too often. He still takes service calls when the schedule gets tight, and he’ll tell you straight that a FAAC 400 operator once taught him more in one afternoon than a year of manuals ever did. His specialties are swing gate geometry and troubleshooting control boards that other shops write off as dead. Outside the job, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Boston Whaler that may or may not ever see the water.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us for eleven years and handles most of the electric gate repair calls that come through Tampa. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, and Viking, and he’s the guy we send when a gate opens halfway, reverses for no reason, or refuses to close after a Tampa afternoon thunderstorm. Marcus keeps a small notebook in his truck filled with fixes for model numbers he’s only seen once. He coaches youth baseball in the off-season and can diagnose a faulty limit switch while talking about little league infield drills.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana leads our gate installation work across Tampa, from wrought iron driveway gates in Palma Ceia to aluminum pickets in Westchase. She came to us from a commercial fencing outfit and brought a near-obsessive eye for post depth and concrete cure times with her. Dana is certified on DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule systems and handles the heavy structural side of every install. She keeps a photo album on her phone of every gate she’s ever set, and she can tell you the soil conditions on Bayshore Boulevard versus Carrollwood without checking a chart.
Luis V., Apprentice Technician
Luis joined us two years ago after working maintenance at a Tampa apartment complex where a dozen gates kept him busier than the plumbing ever did. He’s in the middle of his factory training on Ghost Controls and Mighty Mule and shadows Marcus on most electric gate repair jobs. Luis is the one who double-checks safety edges and photo eyes after every repair, because he once watched a gate clip a delivery van in the rain. He’s also our designated cleanup photographer, the guy who makes sure you see a picture of your swept garage floor before we leave.
One Standard, Every Job
Every technician on this team works to the Cedarwell C.A.R.E. values, and that’s not a poster in a breakroom. Clean up like it is our own home. Ask before we move or touch anything. Respect the family’s time and quiet hours. Explain the price before the work. It means shoe covers and drop cloths on every visit, so your floors stay clean when we step inside. It means we choose pet-safe lubricants where there’s a choice, and we can schedule around nap time if quiet matters. It means the written price is in your hand before any work begins, every single time. It means a live person answers the phone at (850) 789-6299 on a Tuesday afternoon or a holiday night. And it means the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every repair and installation we complete in Tampa. If it’s not done right, Latch and Post makes it right. No argument, no fine print. That’s the standard Cody set in 2009, and it’s the one Marcus, Dana, and Luis work to on every driveway we pull into.
